About the City

The city of Oporto is located on the right bank of the River Douro, being the second  largest city of the Portugal. Oporto is the regional capital of the northern area.
There are many reasons to visit Oporto: along the narrow streets that lead from the river to the Cathedral, in the dwellings as a whole and its inhabitants, in the civil and religious monuments, in the yards and markets, etc…

The city of Porto and its river, Douro, cannot be dissociated. The Douro valley, with its lovely terraces of vineyards clinging to the hillsides, is the kingdom of the famous Port Wine and offers visitors spectacular views.
